

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Julius Berger Nigeria PLC (JBN) have commenced talks to deepen collaborations on capacity development and other strategic initiatives aimed at advancing engineering practice and technological innovation in the country.
This was the outcome of a high-level courtesy visit by the NSE President, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, FAEng, F.ASCE, MFR, to the Managing Director of JBN, Engr. Dr. Peer Lubasch, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Abuja.
At the meeting, both organisations explored areas of collaboration focused on strengthening the capacity of NSE members and preparing the profession for the future demands of technology-driven infrastructure development. Discussions also highlighted JBN’s commitment to modern construction practices and innovative engineering solutions, with both parties expressing strong interest in fostering deeper institutional partnerships that would benefit Engineers across the country.
The engagement underscores the growing importance of collaboration between NSE and industry leaders in driving sustainable infrastructure development and enhancing technical competence within the profession.
