The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has commissioned a 50kVA hybrid solar power system at its Abuja headquarters, delivered by the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) as part of a strong inter-agency collaboration.
The system features a 40kW solar capacity with 77.5kWh battery storage, ensuring a reliable, clean, and uninterrupted power supply, while reducing dependence on diesel and the national grid.
This initiative reinforces COREN’s commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, and improved service delivery.
Officials described the project as a timely step toward advancing green energy adoption and promoting engineering excellence in Nigeria.
