
The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) delegation has arrived in Shanghai, China, for the 2025 World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) General Assembly and Global Engineering Congress, scheduled to take place from October 12th to 17th, 2025, at the Shanghai Expo Centre. The global event, themed “Engineering Shapes a Green Future,” focuses on the critical role of Engineering in driving sustainable solutions to climate change and global development challenges.
The Nigerian delegation is led by the President and Chairman-in-Council of NSE, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, alongside other distinguished Nigerian Engineers. Their participation underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in global Engineering dialogues and its commitment to promoting sustainability-driven innovations and policies.
The WFEO General Assembly will feature high-level plenary sessions, international technical workshops, Engineering showcases, highlighting cutting-edge technologies and innovations shaping the future of green Engineering. The congress will also bring together global leaders, policymakers, researchers, and industry experts to explore how Engineering can accelerate progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
