
Paynesville City, Liberia – NSE President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, highlighted key strategies for advancing infrastructure and technological growth in Liberia while delivering the keynote address at the 7th Annual Conference of the Engineering Society of Liberia (ESOL) on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Held at the EJS Ministerial Complex, the event convened leading Engineers, policymakers, and industry experts from across Africa to discuss innovative Engineering solutions for sustainable development.
In her address themed “Innovative Engineering Solutions for Sustainable Development in Liberia,” NSE President emphasized the importance of Engineering innovation in tackling developmental challenges, unlocking investment opportunities, and building capacity within the sector. She underscored the need for strategic policies, technology-driven solutions, and cross-border collaborations to drive Liberia’s infrastructural growth.
As a panelist in a high-level discussion on “The Role of Female Engineers in Driving Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Africa,” the NSE President championed gender inclusion in Engineering. She called for mentorship programs, policy support, and expanded opportunities for female Engineers to contribute to Africa’s infrastructural transformation.
The 7th ESOL Annual Conference provided a platform for meaningful discussions on Engineering’s role in shaping Africa’s future. NSE President’s participation reaffirmed NSE’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening Engineering ties between Nigeria and Liberia while driving sustainable development across the continent.
