In a renewed effort to boost power supply and further guarantee service reliability to Commercial and Industrial Customers in its franchise, the Management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company has embarked on upgrade of power supply infrastructure and network rehabilitation across its franchise states.
The deputy managing director/COO of the company, Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed disclosed this today in Kaduna while inspecting the ongoing infrastructure upgrade in one of the Company’s sub-stations in Kaduna.
He revealed that Kaduna Electric has created three 11KV Commercial Feeders in Kaduna and Sokoto States in the last one month to boost power supply to its customers.
He revealed that the management conceived and made the multi million naira investments to improve quality of power supply to especially commercial and industrial customers in those locations, thereby reducing both Technical and Commercial losses as well as increasing the revenue profile of the company.
According to him, “the company has recently installed a 2.5MVA Power Transformer and created three 11KV Feeders dedicated to commercial and industrial customers in Kaduna and Sokoto; this is aimed at improving the quality of supply to commercial and industrial customers in our franchise and reduce the ATC&C losses”.
The deputy managing director said the company is committed to ensuring better service delivery to its customers through strategic investments and process automation with the view to improve the commercial performance of the company.
Mohammed assured that more of such investment shall be carried out by the company in due course to guarantee better electricity services to the customers.
